N.Korolevska, Committee Chairman, opened the meeting and stated: "everyone should understand that some enterprises can become bankrupt in the period of recession, but the State should enhance provision of domestic market by means of implementation of efficient target programs". She deems necessary to upgrade equipment at the enterprises and reinvest their capital assets. N.Korolevska is convinced that "efficient domestic market can not be formed without innovations".
According to the representative of the Ministry of Industrial Policy, at present reduction of production progress and volume of export of advanced technology products at the strategically significant enterprises can be observed, especially in the defense-industrial sector.
According to the participants of the meeting, substantial increase of use of foreign equipment and feedstock can be observed in the agrarian sector at present. Therefore "it is necessary to use governmental controls to boost the development of national production".
The Ministry of Industrial Policy was commissioned to submit the drafts of procedures for the use of funds of the Stabilization Fund to finance investment projects at the enterprises of aircraft building, defense-industrial sector, engineering industry, purchase of aircrafts on conditions of financial lease to the Cabinet of Ministers.
The participants of the meeting expressed a number of motions concerning introduction of amendments to the State Budget of Ukraine 2009 aimed at enhancement of funding of industrial sector.
